Primitive Rust servers, live

It runs Facepunch's Primitive game mode, which takes guns out of the game and leaves bows, spears and melee weapons. That is a mode setting, not a version of vanilla, so a primitive server can sit in the official, community or modded tabs depending on how else it is set up.

Not many. We count 28 live primitive servers on this page, and the majority normally show nobody online. The population that does exist is concentrated on a handful of them, and it gathers most in Europe during the evening and in North America later.

Check the region column before anything else, because there may be only one or two servers near you. Europe holds most of the players and North America most of the rest; other regions are thin or missing. A low-ping empty server is often a better bet than a distant busy one.

Most do not state a rate, and an unstated rate on these servers usually means 1x. A small number list 3x, which will show in the server's settings. The mode itself only removes firearms; it says nothing about gathering speed, stack sizes or loot.
